Archives of time…
A collection of memories frozen in time — stories, thoughts, and unspoken emotions from a year that changed everything. These are not just posts; they are fragments of who I was, what I felt, and how the world appeared through my eyes back then. A quiet return to the beginning… to remember, to reflect, and to honour the journey that shaped the present.
Losing my Facebook account — a 20+ year journey filled with beautiful memories, travels, and people I met across continents — felt like losing a time capsule of my life. It held countless stories, photos, and moments that shaped who I am.
Though that account is gone, the emotions are not. And sometimes, it feels right to revisit those chapters — not with regret, but with gratitude. So today, I begin sharing those memories here on my own website — a place where my stories will live as long as I do.
Because some experiences are too precious to be forgotten. And some stories are worth telling again.

Poland’s Heart Still Beats Together
The last few days in Poland were more than just a long weekend. They were a reminder — quiet yet powerful — of what unity truly looks like. As the nation celebrated Independence Day on November 11, the air felt filled with pride, warmth, and an unmistakable sense of belonging.
Across towns and cities, people gathered — families, children, and elders alike — many dressed in red and white, carrying flags, and humming the familiar notes of the national anthem. Around the city halls and churches, prayers were offered with reverence, voices rose in harmony, and smiles were shared among strangers who, even if only for a day, felt deeply connected by the same story — Poland’s enduring spirit.
What made these moments even more touching was the simplicity of it all. No grand spectacle, just the people of Poland — grounded, proud, faithful, and beautifully united. It was a reflection of a country that continues to carry its past with dignity while walking confidently into its future.
This year’s Independence Day felt different — it felt hopeful. It was as if the collective energy of those prayers, songs, and gestures whispered a promise: that good times are always with Poland. That kindness, community, and courage still define this nation. That the heart of Poland still beats strong — rooted in culture, guided by faith, and glowing with pride.
And perhaps, that is the quiet beauty of Poland — a country that remembers, celebrates, and believes.
12 November 2025

Tonight… the cemetery glows like a field of stars on earth.
Candles flicker in the November wind, lighting the memories of those who walked before us.
On All Saints Day, we pause… not in sadness… but in gratitude.
Every flame is a story. Every flower is a tribute.
Every fallen leaf reminds us how life changes form — yet never truly disappears.
This silent beauty is not about goodbye…
it’s about remembering with love, honour and peace.
Because the souls we cherish… still walk with us in spirit,
guiding us gently, whispering through the wind…
and reminding us — that love never ends.

Karma — The Eternal Balance
Karma is one of life’s simplest yet deepest truths. It silently governs the balance of our universe — giving us exactly what we give to others. Happiness returns as happiness, pain returns as pain. There are no shortcuts, no exceptions, no hidden concessions.
Forgiveness, too, is often misunderstood. It is not a way to escape karma; rather, it is our acceptance of it — a moment of clarity where we open our hearts and say, “I am ready to face, learn, and heal.”
Every deed — from our past, present, or even lives before — finds its way back to us. Sometimes gently, sometimes as a lesson. But always with purpose.
So, here’s my humble note to the world — if I have ever hurt anyone, knowingly or unknowingly, I offer my sincere apologies. Let us release what no longer serves peace, and embrace what truly matters — understanding, compassion, and calm.
Because in the end, karma is not punishment or reward. It is simply a mirror — reflecting what we choose to be.

The Gold Thread That Changed Our Story
Building a luxury brand isn’t an overnight celebration. It’s a decade of belief… and then many more years of refinement, consistency, evolution and patience. Sobti Handmade Leather Goods didn’t begin as a big factory brand. It began like most meaningful stories begin — with quiet passion, pure curiosity, and the desire to create something that wasn’t done before.
When I first started crafting handmade leather pieces, one lesson became very clear — luxury is not a product… luxury is a story that matures over time. Markets teach us this, case studies teach us this, and experience shows us this again and again. For a young designer, the wisest approach is to move steady, introduce new designs with intention, and build slowly… one year at a time.
But the heart of an artist always wants to go one step beyond the ordinary.
One subtle new element. One bold signature.
And that moment came when the idea of stitching leather with precious metal came to life — not as marketing, not as a stunt — but as genuine artistic curiosity. The first instinct was to try working with sterling silver 925 wire. But I do not work with metal. Paolo — my friend from Italy, the craftsman who creates our SOBTI buckles by hand in Italy — he works with metals every single day. Gold, platinum, rare alloys… the world of true high-end bespoke.
He challenged the idea.
He pushed the boundary.
He wanted gold.
So we met in the middle — and we chose 9K gold thread.
And in that moment, something new happened in the history of luxury artisanal leather goods.
Sobti became the first brand to offer handmade Italian leather smartphone cases and bracelets… stitched using real 9K gold thread. Not gold-colored. Not symbolic. Real gold.
It was bold. It was unusual. It was daring.
And it became the talk of the town — not because we tried to compete with heritage luxury, but because we chose the courage to be authentically original in our own lane… startup luxury, with a rebellious heart.
Even today, this blend is rarely seen — because not everyone believes in taking creative risks that are driven by heart, not by trends.
So if this story resonates with you — if you believe in daring ideas, elegant rebellion, and luxury built with artistic soul — leave a message, leave a thought… share your experience.
We learn from each other.
We grow together through inspiration.
And who knows… maybe a small surprise awaits those who believe in this journey as much as we do.
Warm regards,
Sobti

SOBTI HANDMADE ITALIAN LEATHER GOODS
A Brand Born from Vision, Devotion — and Pure Human Craft
Designing a brand is never easy. Building one with the soul of luxury — even more so. But a river of passion, once set in motion, does not wait for permission. When love becomes vision, creation is inevitable.
Florence became my home — not by plan, but by destiny. I had learned how to craft by hand, but bringing a true luxury identity to life was the real challenge. I made a promise to myself — if I was to create, I would create with integrity.
- I would use only Italian vegetable-tanned leather, sourced from tanneries officially registered with the Italian Vegetable Tanned Leather Consortium.
- I would stitch every piece using the ancient saddle-stitch technique, entirely by hand — with 1mm cotton-waxed threads from Italy, a thickness most brands avoid for its difficulty.
- And the buckles — they would not be ordinary. They would speak of my story in Italy.
An Italian friend — a master jeweller who worked with gold and rare metals — saw the fire in me, and chose to personally craft my buckles. That was the moment the brand found its signature.
The next step was critical — to officially register Sobti with the Italian Vegetable Tanned Leather Consortium. It was not easy. I was neither Italian, nor European. But with dedication, documentation, and the support of every artisan who believed in my vision — and I was accepted.
To this day, I remain the only Indian artist and designer officially registered with the Italian Consortium.
And so, in Fall 2016, Sobti Handmade Italian Leather Goods was born.
Handmade — truly handmade — not finished or corrected by machines. Every cut, every stitch, every edge… guided by human touch alone. I still design directly on leather, never on paper. I still source each material myself. I still saddle-stitch every creation with 1mm Italian cotton-waxed thread. And yes — every buckle is still handmade in Italy.
Today, Sobti stands as a rare fusion of heritage craftsmanship and refined luxury — now offering even Sterling Silver and 18K Rose & Yellow Gold buckles, crafted exclusively for the brand. And, occasionally, goods crafted from exotic skin, sourced from registered dealers in Europe.
This is not fashion.
This is legacy — created by hands, led by soul.
And the story continues…

The Birth of an Inner Artist
Florence, Italy — the summer I arrived there, my only goal was simple: to learn how to stitch a durable handmade leather strap for Swiss watches. Nothing more. But in the quiet joy of working with Italian vegetable-tanned leather, I crafted not only a strap, but also a wallet and a phone case — each one echoing the same soul, the same raw elegance.
That’s when a thought struck me: If a man carries only four essentials every day — a bag, a wallet, a phone case, and his watch — then why shouldn’t all four be crafted with the same leather, the same aesthetic, the same legacy?
So I told my guru, Dimitri, that I wanted to make a bag next. He looked at me and smiled — “You’re pushing too fast. A phone case and a bag are not the same. Once you cut the leather, you can’t un-cut it. Be sure of your vision before the blade touches the skin.”
But something in me knew I was ready.
I started early that morning — and by evening, an antique-style leather bag was born. Rough, raw, imperfect… and yet alive. Dimitri paused, looked at the piece, and simply said:
“You are a true artist. Let your art flow. Never let others dilute your vision.”
Those words — so similar to what my father once told me — became the seed of Sobti Handmade Leather Essentials.
That summer of 2016 became my foundation: one leather, one thread, one philosophy — all crafted in Italy, all made with soul. Because nothing in life is coincidence. Every person we meet is part of our karma — a teacher, a reminder, a sign.
And that is how my inner voice, the artist within, was born.

An opportunity is often a quiet inspiration in disguise.
Life brings us moments — some to learn from, others to let go.
Many of my finest lessons came from working alongside my father in his garage. His golden rule has stayed with me forever: “No matter what, let every customer leave happy — one happy customer brings a lifetime of good.”
With that mindset, I once sold a stunning Swiss Military watch — forged from a solid block of stainless steel. The customer loved it, but simply asked if I could help him find a more rugged, Italian handmade leather strap with a strong buckle to match its personality.
That single request changed my life.
I approached a few leather artisans, while many didn’t bother answer me, one kept delaying me for months. And I thought: If he can craft with his hands, why can’t I learn too? I began searching — and soon, destiny took me to Florence, Italy.
I trained under a master leather artisan, not to start a business — but simply to make one perfect handmade leather strap for that Swiss watch.
My first creation? A leather smartphone case — followed by that strap. The day I finished them, I celebrated at Hard Rock Cafe Florence… proudly wearing both.
A gentleman there noticed and asked, “Where did you buy this matching leather set?”
When I said, “I made it,” he immediately asked if I could craft one for him too.
That was the turning point.
What began as a customer-service commitment became SOBTI — my own line of handmade Italian leather goods. Today, every Swiss watch I sell is often accompanied by matching handmade leather accessories — wallet, strap, and phone case — crafted with the same dedication I learned in Florence, in Italy.
I’ll share that beautiful journey in detail soon. For now — this is a reminder:
Great brands are not born from plans. They are born from purpose.
In the early days of presenting our Swiss watch collections, I often emphasized that our timepieces are not just accessories — they are among the finest entry points to the world of true luxury. A rare balance of investment value and attainable prestige. Naturally, this segment is highly competitive.
During one such presentation, a prospect asked me, “Why should we invest in your watches?”
Without a moment’s hesitation, I replied — from the heart:
“Every watch tells time… only a Swiss-Made watch tells your time.”
That spontaneous moment became our official tagline — and to this day, it defines every campaign we create. Because a Swiss-Made watch is more than a purchase. It is a statement of identity, legacy, and time that belongs to you.
And our journey continues — with the same belief, the same passion, and the same respect for time.

More than a decade of passion and partnership
with some of Switzerland’s most remarkable watchmakers.
It all began with Charmex SA — the creators of the iconic CX Swiss Military sports watches, Swiss Military, and the elegant Charmex fashion collections for Men and Women. Together with, we proudly represented West End Watch Co., a heritage Swiss watch brand for both men and women. And a few months later, our journey expanded with Grovana Watch Co. and their three distinguished lines: Grovana, Swiss Alpine Military, and Revue Thommen.
What started as a venture became a legacy — filled with knowledge, friendships, and unforgettable moments in the world of Swiss-made horology.
And the story continues… still strong, still inspired.
To Good Times always – every watch tells time, only a Swiss Made Watch, tells Your time

Subh Deepawali 20 October 2025

Monday, the quiet architect of the week ahead.
Every Monday is exciting in its own unique way. It arrives with fresh challenges, new possibilities, and a subtle hint of mystery — because it is on Mondays that we first sense how the week will unfold.
Mondays are not about pressure — they are about intention.
A moment to realign our energy, to self-motivate, to draw inspiration from within, and to walk forward with grace.
To be in harmony with the universe — aware, grateful, and ready.
Because when embraced with the right spirit,
Monday doesn’t just begin the week — it defines it.

There’s a softness to this Sunday, the kind that makes the world feel slower than time itself.
The sky outside my window is painted in gentle greys, clouds floating low over the Palace of Culture, as if the city is still half-asleep. I love this quiet, the kind where nothing is urgent, and even the silence feels like company.
It’s already late, but somehow, it still feels early, because Sundays don’t follow clocks, they follow mood.
And just like every slow, beautiful morning, my first craving is coffee. The world’s most elegant addiction. Not for the caffeine, but for the ritual. The aroma. The pause before the day begins. The warmth against the cool air.
In moments like this, I don’t rush. I simply exist.
A city outside my window. A quiet song in the background.
And the promise of the first sip, everything I need to begin.
And, perhaps, someone, somewhere, celebrating today … a birthday maybe :)

There’s a certain kind of magic in early mornings , when the world is still quiet, and time feels unhurried.
The first sip of coffee isn’t just caffeine — it’s a soft awakening of the soul.
A moment to breathe, to feel, to gather your thoughts before the day begins.
The cup warms your hands like a gentle promise.
And for a brief, beautiful moment, it’s just you, your dreams, and the calm before life asks for your brilliance.
Some mornings don’t need noise.
Just coffee, and a little gratitude.

There are certain temptations in life you simply cannot walk past, and a freshly baked croissant is one of them.
The moment its buttery aroma escapes the bakery door, mingling with the morning air or the rhythm of a shopping street, your senses follow before your feet do. Lightly crisp on the outside, soft and warm at the heart, a true croissant isn’t just food; it’s comfort, elegance, and quiet happiness folded into layers.
And when paired with a perfectly brewed cup of coffee, rich, aromatic, slightly bitter, it becomes more than a snack. It becomes a pause. A small moment of joy between errands. A silent reward for being alive, present, and a little hungry at the right time.
Because some pleasures are not planned — they simply call you.
And a fresh croissant with coffee is one that the heart never refuses.

“Mondays have a different rhythm. The softness of the weekend fades almost quietly, its laughter, its long pauses, its freedom, now just a faint echo behind tired eyes. The streets grow fuller, footsteps quicker. There is no lingering today, only direction. Purpose. Obligation.
You can feel it in the air, people moving not for joy, but for duty. Some with briefcases, some with coffee clutched like courage. The smiles are subtler now, replaced by focus. The weight of responsibilities, family, ambition, unfinished dreams — sits on their shoulders like an invisible coat. Yet they walk, steadily, determinedly, through the crowds and city winds, fueled by something deeper than rest.
Because Monday is not the end of the weekend — it is the test of who we promised to become.”

“There is something deeply comforting about Polish cuisine, it feels like home, even to those who are far from theirs.
And among its many treasures, pierogi hold a special kind of magic. They are more than just food, they are tradition shaped by hand, memory wrapped in dough, and love served on a plate.
What fascinates me most is how beautifully versatile they are. In one kitchen, pierogi can be filled with seasoned meat, warm, rich, and hearty, perfect for the cold Polish evenings. In another, they appear as a delicate vegetarian delight, filled with spinach, cottage cheese, potatoes or wild mushrooms. And then, with nothing but the turn of a recipe, they become dessert. Soft, sweet pierogi filled with strawberries, blueberries or apples, dusted with sugar or drizzled with cream, like a childhood dream.
It amazes me how one dish can adapt to every palate, every season, every story. In Poland, pierogi are not just a meal, they are proof that tradition can be simple, generous, and endlessly beautiful.”
“Fashion in Europe is a beautiful paradox, it is both timeless and restless. Here, style is not just about clothes; it is culture, memory, individuality.
On the streets of Warsaw, Paris, Vienna, Milan, you will see a woman in a vintage coat from the ’60s walking beside someone in minimal modern silhouettes, and both look equally intentional.
Some people dress with quiet elegance, polished shoes, refined fabrics, effortless charm. Others appear almost unaware of fashion rules, and yet, they carry a confidence that turns simplicity into poetry.
What fascinates me most is that here, fashion is not about perfection, it is about presence. Every person walking these streets seems to hold a story in the way they dress, a trace of heritage, belief, rebellion, or love. It is not about following trends… it is about expressing soul. And perhaps that is why European fashion feels alive, because it is not merely worn. It is lived.”

Archives from Time — Baselworld, a city, with lots of stories to tell

Archives from Time — Baselworld, Where It All Began
More than a decade ago, I walked into Baselworld — the legendary stage where the world’s finest Swiss watchmakers, jewellery maisons, couture fashion brands, and visionary designers came together to showcase their art. It was not just a trade fair; it was the epicentre of luxury, innovation, and legacy — where heritage met the future.
After the exhibition, I spent several weeks with one of the family-owned Swiss watch companies — sharing long conversations about passion, legacy, and the responsibility of creating something that outlives us. I learned not merely how a Swiss watch is made… but why it is made.
The precision, the patience, the pride — every component crafted not for the present moment, but for the next generation.
Those early days shaped my vision. And to this day, I carry that wisdom with me and share it especially with first-time watch buyers — because a Swiss watch is not just an instrument to tell time. It is time itself — preserved, respected, and passed forward. Each generation adds its own story to the same timepiece… and that is what makes it eternal.
From those first handshakes to the long-standing partnerships we honour today, we continue to represent and market some of the finest Swiss-Made watches — from maisons registered with the Swiss Watch Federation — ensuring authenticity, precision, and timeless elegance for every esteemed client we serve.
Baselworld was not just an exhibition I attended. It was the beginning of a legacy.

Looking back at some photos from Brazil, I’m instantly transported to those beautiful days — a perfect blend of work and soul-stirring moments.
I remember the vibrant festival energy, the weekend breeze, music in the air, and that unmistakable Brazilian spirit that makes you feel alive.
Those were the days when work felt like adventure, and every sunset carried a story. Sometimes, a single photograph is enough to remind you how magical life once felt.

My Canon AE-1 — my first ever camera, and the one that traveled with me across more than 30 countries.
Though the world may now call it “outdated,” to me, it remains timeless. It wasn’t just a camera — it was my companion, my storyteller, my first love in the world of visual dreams.
Even today, I proudly keep it in my collection and never miss a chance to show it around — because some things in life are never forgotten. Especially your first love.

A photo I found today took me back to the sacred calm of the Golden Temple in Punjab — a journey I made years ago, not just as a traveler, but as a Sikh by birth returning to my roots. The sound of kirtan at dawn, the stillness of the holy sarovar, and the sight of golden reflections dancing on the water — it was peace in its purest form. That moment still lives in me — a gentle reminder of faith, humility, and the beauty of silence.

I still remember meeting two incredible friends; dreamers just like me. Together, we spoke about life, art, ambition, and the endless possibilities that waited ahead. Within a decade, somehow, those dreams began to take shape — we were living the very life we once imagined.
It was during one of those conversations, thanks to her, that we spoke about lifestyle blogging — a spark that quietly stayed with me. And today, that small spark stands tall as Stylish Indian, a reflection of passion, purpose, and the dreams we once shared.

Every soul we encounter in this lifetime is not by chance, it is an appointment written long before we understood the meaning of destiny.
People do not simply cross our path; they arrive as chapters, lessons, mirrors, and sometimes gentle warnings. Each interaction, joyful or painful, is our karma unfolding, shaping who we are meant to become.
It is upon us to observe, to reflect, and to grow from these silent teachings. Some people remind us of kindness, some teach us boundaries, some reawaken courage, and some test our patience, but none come empty-handed. They are all part of our evolution.
And so, may we walk gently through this world, learning with humility, loving without ego, and leaving behind not noise but grace. For when we depart this planet, let it never be said that we only existed… but that we left footprints of goodness, wisdom, and light for others to follow.
Its truly a blessing to have met this fine gentleman, on way back from Gent to Amsterdam, once a well known Swiss Watch makers, and, now, a lovely man full of stories and lots of blessings.

A precious moment with my hero, my father, just minutes before he boarded his flight back to India.
After two beautiful months together across the Netherlands, France, Italy, Belgium, and Poland, our hearts were full… of conversations we had long waited for, memories relived, and stories only a father and son can share.
I still hear his words as if they were spoken today: “No work is ever too small. Keep working hard. Keep your dreams alive. One day, you will achieve everything you truly desire.”
Those words did not just guide me — they became the fuel of my life.
And today, everything I am, and everything I strive to be… is a living proof of his blessings.

Some of the most unforgettable moments of my life were spent at the New York Film Academy, living the dream as a student, creating stories on real sets, and experiencing the magic of cinema from every angle.
Acting, producing, directing — all at once — those days weren’t just classes, they were life lessons. Nights of endless edits, days of unstoppable passion, and the feeling of breathing art with every heartbeat.
It wasn’t just filmmaking — it was becoming the person I was destined to be.

Caribbean vibes — a chapter of my life I still carry in my heartbeat.
Those were the days I lived, worked, and wandered across the breathtaking islands of the Caribbean. It was my first time truly living outside India, and every moment was a discovery — of the world, and of myself. Each experience shaped me, humbled me, and added color to my journey.
Grateful to the Universe — for the memories, the lessons, and the person I became along the way.
