There is always a story in every piece of jewellery

Jewellery, or as we studied in history, ornaments, has ideally being part of our grooming every since history. We’ve grown up studying how ornaments were a style to showcase one’s personality, and fondness towards arts and life. Our history books since the era of the pharaohs, and the Roman emperors, those Greek warriors, and of course, all those Kinds and Queens and Artisans, and travellers, were colourful decors with endless photos and each with its own history and glory. So, where did that fashion ever go? It’s gone with those designers who sat at their luxury yachts and designed fashion for us, which they changed every season, so that, we could be part of their story. And in all this story telling, we might have either forgotten our story, or, we never took an initiative to write our story.

We all have a story, depends how we say it. Every step must be meaningful in life, with LOAKE SHOES

One of the finest entry level luxury shoes in my collections. Loake Brothers Ltd is a British shoemaker since 1880, family owned and still located in Kettering, Northamptonshire. Northamptonshire, is the centre, rather capital of British shoemaking industry. During 1894, the company expanded its factory to wood street, where it is still located.

Loake specialises in men’s traditionally crafted handmade Goodyear-welted shoes. Construction of some styles involved using 130 skilled workers, up to 75 shoe parts and over 200 different operations and can take around 8 weeks to make from start to finish. While the high end shoes are crafted in England, a factory in India also makes Loake shoes to compete with the entry level brands.

There are very few collections of Goodyear-welted shoes in the market today, unless, we go Bespoke (made to order / exclusively made). Goodyear-welted shoes are the finest durable shoes and are designed to last long. Being an Indian born, and working with a goal to drive products MADE IN EUROPE and even MADE IN INDIA, are the prime reasons I start my collections with LOAKE shoes. Because, Loake seems to share with my gaols.
